      Hi everyone,
I’m new to this forum and have joined mainly to draw some strength because after 6yrs of being with a complusive gambler I have finally took the steps to leave.
I really don’t have any fight left in me. Enough is enough which of course, I have said many many times. But something has clicked this time I don’t know why.
I can say this though, the sense of relief is unbelievable. I don’t have to hide my handbag, change bank card pin numbers regularly, and basically treat my bf like a child drip feeding him money all the time.
As i’m sure the rest of you have experienced, I have given money for a quiet life, out of guilt,to keep our 4yr old daughter from having to here the arguments etc.
I have only been away 5 days and I have had, as usual, all the promises to change, make a fresh start etc but I have done lots of thinking in these last few days and my bf hasn’t even suggested stopping gambling completely, just trying to keep it to a minimum AS IF!!!!!
The bottom line is I am no longer prepared to do this my sanity can’t cope and I certainly don’t want our daughter being exposed to this any more than she already has.
I’m just struggling with the guilt of splitting our family up, upheaving out daughter not really having somewhere to live (I am currently living in a nineth floor flat with my mom )
I ‘ve got to be strong, so please folks help me with this!!!!!!
Things don’t happen by chance..They happen with change..
