Income arrived in my bank account this morning. I withdrew it pronto.
More due in tomorrow and on the 31st. I will leave enough there to meet direct debits which are due to go out at the end of the month.
I will use cash to pay the credit union and to buy food. I’m sure the land based casinos are in lockdown
I am self excluded until October in one online casino but and due to have a “Time Out” lifted early in April in another one.
I’m making sure and certain that I have no funds in my bank account in case I’m tempted before I get a chance to extend that time out to upgrade it to self exclusion.

Who phone you IDI? Gambling sites that you have self excluded from?
I would think they are in serious breech of T and Cs.
I would be contacting a lawyer to discuss legal action.

I know it sounds selfish, Monica but I’m glad I retired.
I have friends (ex work colleagues) who are scared to go to work. Not so much for fear of the virus but due to the sudden changes and the uncertainty in the Health Service. Stress lowers our resistance to disease.
Keep reminding yourself that GOD IS IN CHARGE, Monica.
The politicians are using this pandemic for their own gain.
I have serious reservations about some things I am hearing.
I only listen to the News Headlines once a day or every 2nd day.
I have other issues to deal with right now so I refuse to be terrorized or bullied into submission.

Perhaps you are entitled to a reprieve with your bank/lender due to Covid-19.

I will get round to posting soon. I’m in a decline but not in total isolation. Preoccupied with more important issues. Isolation for a CG would be either Paradise or Hell. Using the Safe Distance advice would free us up to “do our own thing” for hours/days unending. Paradise (until the gates of Hell opened up when the money runs out) In my case, I have too little money to deposit on a gambling site and since I am banned from those sites pro tem. I cannot gamble.I’m guessing that the land based casinos are closed but in these circumstances, I would be too proud to be caught on camera in one of them and perhaps even being approached my the police and escorted out.( legislation is being passed to give the police and army “special powers”) What a headline that would make on the newspapers. This is a serious virus. I worked through quite a lot of viral outbreaks, which we were warned could put everyone at risk.Nobody died then but sadly many lives have been lost this time.

HAND WASHING SAVES LIVES . This is the best instruction in my experience. Talk of a Big Lockdown creates what I now call “Coronaphobia” I’m checking on main stream media as little as possible. I feel they could be playing with peoples’ minds. My immediate concern is that my “time out”on one gambling site expires at the end of the month. The banks are offering 3 months leeway on debt repayments. That could leave me with a tidy sum to play with but I won’t be tempted to fall into that trap even though my husband suggested we could/should! How little he knows about the mind of a CG. I have to tighten up before the end of the month, ignore any special offers and continue paying my debts , otherwise I will be destroyed. Over and out!

Delighted for you, Izzi. This pandemic and all the panic surrounding it will pass and Life will go on. It always does. Not gambling gives us a clearer outlook on everything. My niece is expecting her first baby. She is 44. My son’s wife delivered a beautiful baby boy on Thursday.

Megna, have no fear about going into hospital. They were wonderful and had everything under control.

I have one too, I-D-I He comes free of charge He also does all the house maintenance, supplies fuel, builds etc etc. The downside is, like the person you mention, he is a moody ******* and everything that goes awry is my fault. I give as good as I get, sometimes and sometimes (but not today ) I punish him (and myself mainly) by saying “why the hell do I bother”.

At these times and for many other reasons I threw away thousands upon thousands. Nothing is perfect. I don’t blame anyone but as you rightly point out everyone deserves peace and we all have the right to say “enough is enough”!

Just to say you are in my thoughts, Monica.
They are setting up a “Testing System ” here too.
Difficult to know what to believe since the media is the propaganda wing of the government.
Personally, I rely on common sense (and prayer) in difficult situations.
I tend to isolate a lot anyway so Social Distancing is not a huge issue for me but I empathize with people who need contact.

Do you believe in Mental telepathy, Megna? I have been thinking of you a lot recently. Perhaps it’s because my son’s wife is expecting our first grandchild next week or maybe it is a flashback to your earlier posts, describing how you “won” and lost and how hard your husband works and how you were deceiving him. I could be in the same room as my husband, gambling thousands while he sits in silence not noticing what is happening , until I scream at him “for nothing”…you described how “wins and “losses” caused similar mood swings which you took out on your baffled husband too.

Anyway, my thoughts and prayers are with you. When is your baby due and how is your little girl?

It’s approx 9 days since I gambled. I feel a bit “stuck”.

I managed to obtain a high interest loan to save face and sanity and to use as repayments on my other long standing debts.

I can’t afford to look back or look forward so I just look up.

I do believe God honours our genuine efforts to come back to the right road to salvation. I have one foot on that road now so I need to keep moving forward. Just for today there will be no turning back.

The worst thing a CG could be asked to do is “self isolate”.

Gambling can be more harmful than a million viruses and there is no vaccine for gambling.

Sadly people die if both things aren’t contained fast.
