Hi Carolyn, welcome. I was on the gambling roller coaster for over twenty years, I know the feeling way to well. Finally, i’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. I believe that if you fix you first and not for your x but for you, good things will follow. Stay strong, keeping your eye on who who want to be not who you were. Keep comming here. It will get you to a better place.

You recognize you need help that is half the battle. Maybe you can find a counselor that you can see in person? R there GA meetings near you? Maybe you could find a sponsor to help you?

I’m glad you made it here! Yep it’s Jen. I recognized your story. Keep coming back, If you do it will get better and when it does keep coming back and it will stay better. I’m here for you and I will be praying for you.
It’s day one of 2012, I’ve been just a little down reflecting on my past. It’s hard to let it go and move on. On the other hand I’m feeling so good knowing it’s a new year and no matter what happens it will be better than 2011 because I will be working faithfully on being gf. I have a little over a week behind me. I know that is a tiny milestone but it is my milestone and it it feels good. I’m proud because I’m dealing with other issues in my life and I am not letting them give me a reason to throw in the towel. My first and last bet in 2012 is ” I bet …………this will be a better year gf”. I look forward to getting to know others on this site and encouraging each other to fight the good fight!
