I recommend to read or listen The Easy Way to Stop Gambling by
Allen Carr, and when you save money instead of trying to win in a game that 99% of the people lose money, play in a game where 99% make money, buy rental property to live or rent…

I will recommend to read also:

Today, I close all the positions in my main account… maybe it will go up soon, but the pain was too much, and this can damage my health… now that I’m in cash in this account, I will move this money to pay debts…

The book, easy way to stop gambling, has valuable ideas, to remove the desire to gamble… I don’t have any desire to sell an option at this moment… I’m moving to passive investing…

I think that when you pay debts first you have a sure return, because you don’t have to pay more interest…

    I made the test

    https://www.gamblersanonymous.org/ga/content/20-questions

and with my current option selling strategy, results:

    Yes to 10 questions

Most compulsive gamblers will answer ‘Yes’ to at least 7 of these questions.

    2) With the next passive buy and hold strategy, results:

    Yes to 2 questions

I will keep this one, the other one, didn’t receive comments…

I read today, in another forum, that was really valuable for me: “win lead to euphoria, a feeling that you are invincible so you will bet higher”

Last year after a few years of good winnings, I Borrowing Money, lied to banks, to “invest” in the high probability options trades (HPT) that I understand need to work… in the last 3 weeks I lost a lot of money, maybe the gains of 2 years, and some of the borrowing money… I have reduce positions hoping that will recover the money, but I’m sick of this game, and want to stop…and move to passive investing…

another impression that make me think, is watching and paying people that make low payment jobs, maybe $15/hour, and I win and loss thousands of dollars in a day… so need to stop this, respect money, and invest only passive investments, that don’t require my attention more than 2 or 3 times per year, without leverage, and that over time give 4% to 10%/year, very conservative…

Thank you very much for your answer…

This is exactly what happens to me:

“win lead to euphoria, a feeling that you are invincible so you will bet higher”

Hi, what you wrote about ” forex options trading for 15 min” or binary options is pure gambling, since you buy the options and the odds are against you…

Selling options, with 45 days to expiration or more… look like a business. Since you have the odds in your favor, you became the casino or an insurance company… and you can make money most months of the year… the problem is the big losses that are hard to control, and the time, focus and energy that take…

My question to this forum is, if a gambler make some money, it’s still a problem?

    I start reading the book
The Easy Way to Stop Gambling by Allen Carr

    i has very valuable ideas…

    thanks

I’m closing positions, no open new ones (even that I see some opportunities), the idea is to take some time without trading…

I also start listen the audiobook: The Easy Way to Stop Gambling

Thinking of all the vacations, and time with my family, when my mind was “in the markets” or when I have some “paper loss” and can’t enjoy these vacations, make me sad… but the best is yet to come!

investments but in a safer way. (I did not take the investment decitions and someone else does it for me).?

this can be a very dangerous way to invest… google all the ponzi scams, you will know that it’s better to invest your self, buy an index fund, or real my post about real estate…
