    Day 4

Payday has come and I have not gambled.

Good job too, just found out my boss has decided to cut my hours :/

Bills have been paid though so I don’t have to worry for another few weeks.

Laura, what did your counciller mean by a month being a trigger date? I plan on booking a session when I am able, I do well until a month and then it falls apart.

I’m going to keep posting 🙂

Thank you all so much for your kind words and your support.

It’s now day three and apart from stressing about replacing the money I lost, I am doing well.

I plan on reading through more of the forums tomorrow,. Tomorrow is my payday and I will NOT gamble.

    Update soon.

    Hello,

Well done for finding your way here. I would highly recommend protecting yourself by installing gambling blocking software and actively trying to distract yourself during the football season. Perhaps change your scenery or do something else rather than spend time watching football with people that help you succomb to gambling. I think until you change your habits and who you socialize with in this dangerous time you will end up locked in a cycle.

    Hi,

I know the feelings you are going through, but please remember we are all here for you. I would advise to check on your journal regularly and when you feel the itch to gamble to update it. We can all help each other get through one day at a time here.

    Best of luck to you.

    Hi,

So sorry to hear of your slip up. We have all been there, the important thing is right now you are here. Have you tried going onto Gamstop and asking to be self excluded from sites? I would also recommend purchasing gamban for your phone and computer, the liscences cost £10 and last a whole year. I have found them very helpful when I have the itch to gamble.

    Best of luck to you.

So I am feeling a bit down today, dissapointed in my slip last night. I went onto Gamstop this morning and entered my details to be self excluded from all sites. So even if I am tempted to sneak onto work computer there are no sites that I know of I can use now. Feel better foe doing this. I plan on updating this journal every few days, and more when I get to the end of the month. I hope you can stick with me 🙂
