Hi guys, my name is Charles and I am a 21 years old working part time and not going to school as of now. I am in a dilemma right now and I really need someone to tell me that my idea is stupid.

Now my story will not be about me losing all my savings, in fact it’s quite the opposite. This is about giving back the money I have won from the casino and the urge to chase it back with my own money. I got to a point where my total winnings were 24k.

I bought S8+, tons of clothes, gave money to my relatives and put away 10k in a short term mutual fund. That left me with 9k in casino winnings, and I gave back 9k in one night! Then the next day, I was stupid enough to make an emergency withdrawal of 5k from my chequing account. Then I lost all that 5k, which means I gave back 15k in 2 days!

What bothers me the most is the fact that I had the option to walk away with the 15k I just gave back. I just can’t stop thinking about that 15k I gave back. Now I have urge to do everything I can to withdraw that 10k in my mutual funds but PLEASE stop me. Tell me this is a bad idea since I won’t listen to myself and I don’t want to discuss this with my parents or friends. I don’t want to gamble anymore, the pain I experienced after giving back 15k in 2 days is so painful. I just wish I had walked away with that 15k instead of giving it back 🙁

      It is a stupid idea.

Accept it for what it is. Nearly ever person who posts on here started with a big win. Dont do it, learn from the mistakes of others.

You’re whole future depends on what you decide now.

      STUPID IDEA.

What ever you do with that money do not give it back. There are plenty people suffering in the world who could benefit if you gave some to charity.

      Gambling is addictive…

And gambling is made in a way that the player will lose eventually.

Ow and there’s the voices in your head that are arguing constantly= you get preoccupied with gambling

You have no idea what your getting yourself into, this is just the start…

Gambling is not a game and it isn’t fun.

      Hi lunalex,
Yes I got hooked by a big win too- gave it all back and thousands with it – and many years of my life.

You would have been happy enough without the money if you had never won it – once you start spending those amounts you have to accept that this had crossed the line into addiction.
Every win from now on will go the same way as the last one .

I hope you can stop yourself – read the stories on here – this will only end in destruction
      .i hope this helps .
