Looking for hope in a dark place, letting go of what made my heart race, getting back to a steady pace.
I took a trip to deep dark water, I put at risk my only daughter, Inside my head I want to slaughter.
Most people would leave me behind, after all I’ve made myself blind, one step forward to the daily grind.
Letting go of all this pain, has left a scar inside my brain, now I know it was all in vane.
We can stop the bleeding, when we see where this is leading,
very soon will be proceeding into a life of succeeding.
One day at a time, I won’t waste another dime, to my family it was a crime, get it out with a bit of a rhyme.
Great poem I won!
