This is my very first post. I never gambled up until 2 years ago. A friend of mine won a large amount of money on a football bet and I thought it was easy. I owe: Loan – £6100 2 years left Credit Card 1 = 3240 (interest free till next year) Credit card 2 = 3600 (interest free till next year) Credit card 3 = 3600 (paying interest) Overdraft = £1000 Friend = £1100 Money I took from my help to buy Isa = £1200 – which I gambled TODAY!!! 80% of this debt is due to gambling. I am in a position where all that money above has been making me ill. I actually contemplated suicide. I earn decent money £35,000 a year. I just have no idea what to do? I can pay these off but I am struggling with a process. I need someone that has been clean for months to tell me that you can do it. I know it takes time, I actually hate gambling – the fun stopped a long time ago. I have read many forums and I can relate to nearly all. Any help or comments, advice would be appreciated.

whilst I can not give you any hope as I am in the throws of my gambling addiction. I can say that speaking to people in the chat rooms has helped me in many ways. stay strong but more importantly….stay positive.
