Hi all my name is Simon and I have a gambling problem. I have been gambling on and off for most of my adult life and really want to stop once and for all.
I self excluded and registered with Gamstop a few years back, but like all gamblers I found other ways of feeding my addiction. My latest one has been crypto trading. Is there any way of blocking these sites and apps? I looked at Gamban but it seems easy to get around and has poor reviews. Any suggestions as I am on the road to recovery and would like to put as many blocks in place as possible.
Thanks
Simon

I’ll take a look at Gamblock thank you. One thing my partner has suggested is using net nanny. Something I was happy to do until I realised that it has access to everything on the device it’s installed upon. If it was purely used for just alerting her to me trying to access gambling sites I’d be fine with this. However she would be able to see absolutely everything I do, every conversation in WhatsApp,email etc. This makes me feel like I’ll be constantly watched and tracked on my every move. Has anyone allowed their partner to do this? I’d be interested to hear any views

Kudos to you for taking the step toward recovery! It’s not an easy journey, but you’re making the right move.
I totally get how tempting crypto trading can be, but it’s essential to have those blocks in place. Have you considered using website blockers or parental control software? -

Same. I start trading, and if I lose even a couple usd – i wanna take it back. So I start trading without any strategy, or use crypto bookmakers. I think we do not have to trade at all. I also want to stop, and I decided to convert all my money in cash, I hope it helps. Are there anyone who stopped gambling successfully?
