I have  read some info on Betblocker – it is a free gambling blocker and as I think it is quite new .

I know I found it hard to install a gambling blocker because when I was most motivated to do  I never  enough money left .

Some people might find this useful.

if is not yet acailable for iphone -I use betfilter for that!

      Thank you Konj

I found it cimpletely ineffective too- the only one I have had real success with is Betfilter- although it was really complicated to get set up – it worked !

You may also like to consider K9, which is available completely free to personal users.

It works fine and dandy, I havn‘t gambled online for over two years.

      Hi konj,
I think betfilter starts at around 26.99 stg for three months- it’s not a lot if you compare it to how much we could gamble in that period. I don’t believe any blocker is fool-proof – it depends on how tech- savvy you are but if this one is set up right I have found it better than most (and I have tried a lot). I have tried most of the free ones and they were too easy to bypass as indeed were some of the paid ones !

Yes I-Did-It, I wouldn’t think any software is infallible. I don’t think a strong recovery is really dependant on the cost or vulnerability of a persons choice of blocking software.

      Salvation lies within.

The important thing about barriers is that they give us breathing space so we can start work on recovery – finding other thigns to fiull time and thoughts, addressing any under lying issues, working on any character traits that need addressing etc They aren’t the total answer to recovery though and if the only thing that is stopping us gambling are the barriers then we are always going to be at risk of finding a way round/over/through them

Well put Charles – I always say a barrier gives us time to think – it takes away the automatic pilot gambling .
They are barriers – not cures !
