My wife is a CG, 5 years ago she was seeing a psychiatrist who reccomended a medication to control serotonin but then my wife failed to get her doctor to write a prescription since the psychiatrist can’t write a prescription. Since my wife continues to have problems controlling her urges, I wonder if the medication would have helped. Is there anyone here that took or is taking medication and whether that helps or not.

      Thanks,

Hi James I had some success with a supplement called NAC. Maybe I took too much but I got quite weak and nauseous after about a Month.. Going to try it again . When the thought came to gamble it just did not go anywhere.. So gambling would come into my head and then it would go flat.. The fantasy of the big win simply did not take off in my brain.. Kinda like when you take a diazepam cos you’re scare of flying. You are still scared but you heart does not start going crazy so you don’t end up in full panic attack!! You just stay calm !! But aware!!

I kinda got scared when I was I’ll and thought I had poisoned myself or something but I am ready to have a go again
