Words and Promises.

Word, promises lies

How many more as time goes by?

The three of those are just distractions

Playing for time and avoiding actions

 

Trust us not if all you hear is words

Nothing will change because of what you’ve heard

 

Words and promises do we mean it?

Don’t believe until you’ve seen it

Judge not words to see what’s true

The real truth comes in what we do

That hits the nail on the head Charles!

Sadly when the addict in your life is not ready to recover it can be thrown back at you…

“How can you not trust me??? Don’t you love me? I said I was done with gambling this time”

It can take a long time to get to trust your instinct which seems to be right most of the time.
