Well I just wanted to know if anyone had advice for the first days/ weeks  once a person has decided to stop gambling ?
I have made this decision in the past and well……. here I am ….
So any advice on the first steps ?

My advice would be to try and get away from familiar surroundings. Go somewhere new for the weekend. If you can keep your days full of other things it does take the edge off. Its little changes that make a difference too. My usual route home from work took me past the bookies so I went the longer way to avoid it. It’s hard but once you’be stopped for a while you’ll look back and see everything a lot clearer. Good luck SGF2012
