<p>I am really sorry that I write this here. But after all, this is my journey anyway. 

I work for the gambling industry. We call it iGaming but you all know there is no “gaming” at all here. 

Truth is that I work for a living, even though travelling abroad three times per year. I am in the affiliates side. 

You know, sites like*************** etc who direct you to the bonuses you all love playing. I don’t know if you are aware of it,

but bosses of people like me make hundreds of thousands out of you. And out of me of course , once I am just a worker here. 

You know, the money our companies make, come from your losses. Quite reasonable of course, but maybe some of you haven’t realised it yet.

So, yes, you loose, we win. And that means we love people like you! Professional losers! This is such a jungle, that most of the casinos don’t pay us at all if we bring

them a winner!! yes!</p>

<p>let’s say I brought 10 loosers this month. each of them deposited and lost 100 dollars. The deal is 40% of it. So , I get 400dollars . And then, the final day of the month,

a big winner comes in. He wins 1000 ! This means, i will not get paid until another 600 dollars are generated in favor of me. In the long run of course, caisinos may change this deal

if they see I am a good affiliate who brings loosers. And how to bring a looser?? This is easy. You implement all kinds of marketing in order to bring the addicted in! You know what is the nickname

for all of you?? a WHALE! that’s it! You are whales! It’s the type of player that comes back again and again and again and looses high time! And I win! My boss actually. High time as well! You see,

this is the f… capitalism. A zero sum game! You loose, I win. It’s only a war, open your eyes and start caring about yourself in order to win it, or play harder next time on slots and make us get the new Tesla!</p>

</p> Oh, and regarding those “please exclude me” stuff… you all know it’s BS right? Even for UK regulated companies. I had a dinner with a sexy girl from a Casino last month in a business trip of mine. She had worked in

support as well and now works on marketing dep. A real shark. She was explaining me that she never accepted such applications without a fight. She always tried to place a limit to such players instead of excluding them in order to

“get their money little by little”. Her words indead! While laughing! 🙂 Well… she’s another part of the winning team you see! </p>

<p> And something else… if you are one of those who are so f…  up to think “Yes this is a war, you are right. But I will win it tonight because I know a strategy blah blah blah”, then seriously… you’re such a stupid human being!! The ONLY

way to win this war is by not participating in it! So, get your sh.. together and make me loose my job! Well.. it’s gonna leave me homeless probably, cause as I said I am in this industry for a living, but it is really worthy!</p>

Seriously??? No s#^*! The whole industry takes advantage of compulsive gamblers. Your just one of the Devils helpers. You must be so proud of what you do for a living. Thanks for taking the time to post here… I think you need more help than the rest of us.

To be honest, I didn’t expect that! I hope this won’t turn myself to a scapegoat! I want you pissed off, yeah, but don’t blame ME for this! Just pick up your stuff and make me loose my job! That’s all! I wasn’t the one who decided to make affiliate marketing in order to get new clients! And Casinos won’t get hurt by bad language or even violence cause they’re the dirtiest sh..hole ever. 

They will get hurt if you all stop gambling.

Every organisation in the world has some level of corruption but the Gambling Industry is the lowest of the low. The job which gives you your living is  on a par with the “mules” who carry drugs to vulnerable junkies for sleazy Drug Lords. Would you be proud to say, you could draw in “new customers” (usually kids) to the Drug Industry? People who partake in crime are equally guilty. That’s the downside of your job. Of course we all have to make a living but my question is, did you post on this Gambling Therapy Site to slyly draw in new trade or did you do it to relieve your own guilt or are you genuinely attempting to give us the thumbs up? If we are whales you must be the shark. Most Compulsive Gamblers are fully aware of the underhandedness of the Gambling industry (they even offer free counselling, to make themselves appear good.) If you posted here to honestly tip people off, I applaud you for that. Nobody can judge another’s motive but as a CG , I can’t help suspecting there is an ulterior motive in your post. Do you ever gamble??? I would prefer to eat grass for my survival rather than take my living from your low down trade!

The lowest of the low! I am really not a shark!! REALLY! You or anyone else here will never learn where i work and this prooves that I am not here to promote anything!! I mean, seriously! NOTHING! I am a really really small fish in this tank (I almost have no money to eat at the end of the month)! My past job was as a pizza boy, even though I am a law student . Anyway, I won’t talk about myself. I do this job for a living and nothing more. I am not proud but the funny thing is that 99% of my coleages in this industry (small fishes or sharks) have no idea about such fora. Maybe they choose to close their eyes , I don’t know. But I am sure they don’t know. 

I am reading this forum and the sites that I work on try the best to comply with UKGC and the likes. But yes, I believe we should get closed by you not playing anymore. I am sincerelly here for discouraging you giving money to bosses of mine. Of course I am aware what kind of industry Gambling is. 

And of course, don’t expect me to throw you arguments like “a knife is a tool, it depends how you use it, you just don’t need to overdo” etc etc. no. Gambling is bad. It is a useless entertainment and I am not talking about CGs now. I mean in general. It’s a black hole for economies. People who launder money there , are stealing it from people like you and me , who pay taxes and work like slaves for others. 

But at the end of the day, there is NO other solution I think. The players need to stop playing. That’s all. No other way. I am not a psychologist to know the best way for that and I really wish all of you make it. And I ‘ll stay here and applause every single one of you who manage to raise the middle finger on me and tell me “I am clean mf!” 

If I gamble? Well, I am betting on sport events around 1-5 times per month. It is a really useless recreation time. Nothing more. Just a waste of time and money. Even the minor ones that I play.

Ok, so I am no defender of the gambling industry but AOD isn’t promoting the gambling industry here – he is warning against the perils of it. At no point has he tried to advertise any particular gambling site so I don’t really think he should be criticised.

It is his job. I used to work in a pub – there are alcoholics out there – it wouldn’t be fair for them to attack me either.

I even know compulsive gamblers who continuie to work in the gambling industry, I also know CGs who are unable to do so.

Personally I don’t blame the industry anyway; it is ME who has a problem. My brother gambles most weeks and has done for years – he wouldn’t answer “Yes” to any of the GA 20 Questions. The gambling industry didn’t steal a single penny from me – I was more than happy to keep handing it over to them.

As AOL has said, if someone has issues with the gambling industry then the solution is simple – stop using it and start using the support and taking the positive actions that will enable you to do so.

Some of it I already knew – I know I am a whale for example. I didn’t realise that those sites get paid so much for referrals.

I have found your post so helpful . I know that some sites pretend to have self banning options but when you click on it it simply does nothing .

I admire you for writing about your work- everything we read is helpful to us in the battle against this illness.

I hope you didn’t have a second date with such uncaring person. I hope you get a better job which pays you a fair wage .thank you for posting – it has been most helpful

If I. One of those to get blamed or not. The work I do is quite important for the organisation but I get nothing in return and I say this because I wanna prove that I am not a shark. Sharks don’t care. I am deep into the industry , having business trips for closing new deals with the casinos. But at least I know. I read fora like this. And I am trying to find a way to move the whole industry about that othiut getting noticed. I am really a traitor for thinking like this. I know. But people in the industry need to know as well. They need to read the ugliest and roughest of the topics in this forum before getting on with their jobs. You never know where this will lead. Will all of us change jobs? Maybe not. But it will make us more sensitive to regulations and then this will make regulations even harsher because the official bodies , governed by people more disgusted by gambling will then make gambling harder to do.

Or at least I wish it will be like this. In either case, the real, everyday people of this industry are obliged to know.

We have a free capitalistic society but I don’t know where personal choice ends and environmental or biological factors begin. Thanks for understanding that I am not here to promote.

Win tens of thousands only from one casino per month. All the customers are a big flock for the casinos. They sell and buy from affiliates according to their marketing plan. If a casino wants to get a big flock at once and then try to retain it, they will offer a special kind of deal to us. If they want long term customers they offer another deal. It’s our business and of course a recreational player shouldn’t care. But if you are an CG then you should realise this and start getting your self esteem back. Wishing you the best. 

My advices are not good because I can’t feel your problems like others here but I really wish the best for you.
