Hi. My name is Colin and I’ve been gambling for 9 years. I first started when I was 20. My girlfriend at the time took me to an Indian casino and it was my first time playing blackjack. During the next year I became more addicted to blackjack and poker. During the past 9 years gambling has cost me several relationships, caused immense finacial distress, and has left me in a state of terrible mental health. The last time I truly tried to quit was 2006. I made it for 3 months. This time I will do anything to stop. I’m too old and know that if I continue to gamble I will end up killing myself eventually. I’m very glad that I found this website; There are no GA meetings within a 2 hour drive from where I reside.
