Hi all
Just thought I would introduce myself , I’m ruthless, by name and nature and am in my last 48 hours of the 14 week Gordon Moody programme. I’ve been residing in Dudley since feb 3rd and am heading back to west London this Saturday to be back with my lovely misses and 2 kids.
The 14 weeks have taught me about myself and what it was that led me to gamble and I’ve now realised that I no longer need gambling in my life.
I will use this sure regularly and will get involved in groups etc so look out for the name.
I would also recommend to any problem gambler that coming to GMA could be the best 3 months of your life.KEEP THE FAITH

Hello and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums
Here at Gambling Therapy we pride ourselves on being a caring and diverse online community who can help and support you with the difficulties you’re currently facing. We understand that this might be a tough time for you, particularly if you’re new to recovery, so come here as often as you need to and participate in the forums, access online groups and connect to the live advice helpline if you need one to one support. We’re in this together!
Here on the forum you can share your experiences in a safe, supportive and accepting environment. The beauty of writing it all down is that you can take your time and you will be creating a record of your progress that you can look back on if it ever feels like you’re not moving forward. So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.
And on that note….
I’m going to hand you over to our community because I’m sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂
Take care
The Gambling Therapy Team
PS: Let me just remind you to take a look at our
privacy policy and terms and conditions so you know how it all works!

I am sure that you are excited about going home and being with your wife and kids. Congratulations on completing your 3 months at GMA and being gamble free. I have not been to rehab, but I would imagine that it is like a safe environment for you so just be aware that when you get home that the temptation is there for you. Use all the tools that you have been provided with while at GMA and enjoy a new gamble free life with your wife and family. All we can do is take it one day at a time. Wishing you a wonderful gamble free day!!!!

I am over here in the states and not even sure there is a program that is like the Gordon Moody one I keep seeing and hearing about! What a wonderful opportunity for very serious CG’s to go there and to find peace and learn so many things. I know sometimes from helping others with their addictions (not gambling) that a move to somewhere else, or going away several months can make a huge difference! Great to hear you are headed home, and remember to apply all techniques they taught you and share with us those tools to, so we all can learn and grow together to remain gamble free ODAAT!:)

Thinking of you, Ruthless, as you face into your first weekend at home.
Hope all the barriers are firmly in place!
