One week of freedom from gambling. Thursday night is always the hardest for me and last night was no different. My wife left for work around 8:30 and my first thought was – how can sneak some money to play poker with.
I then focused on the guilt I would carry the whole time and what today would look like if I did it. If I want to celebrate 2 weeks, 1 month, 1 year, etc..I have to get past this first week. I feel good today, our anniversary is monday and I have a romantic dinner planned for Saturday. And, I still have the money to follow through on those plans.
Reading your stories on this site people have helped me a great deal. I make a point to log on 2 or 3 times a day to be encouraged and know that I am not alone. Thank you all so much and have a wonderful gamble free weekend.This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
