Ive lost £2500 tonight on live casino roulette. Opened up a new account new company after self excluding from a handful of others. I work hard. All my time is spent working to gamble it all away. A deep cycle on going for about 8 years now.
I Started when i was 14 with a fake id, bookies roulette. I remember the first time i walked into a bookies with a friend both age 14, he put £10 in a fobt and i couldnt believe what he was doing. A WHOLE £10ER! How times have changed and if that same 14 year old me could see this mid twenties me now, what would he say?Took a loan out the start of the year for £9000. Blew £5000-£6000 of it which left me with £3000 and ive been working it back up since putting in long hours…. And losing it… And earning it….Got to £7000 and just lost another £2500. Down to £4.5k. So -£4.5k in debt still. What do i do? Actually contemplating a double or nothing £4.5k for even stevens? lol ive hit more rock bottoms than Wile e Coyote

Hi Fraz and welcome to the forum. Well done on looking for help. Read the other stories here, you will see many things that you will relate to. You will also read the success stories – what are they doing that you can apply to your own situation.
The thing that jumps out immediately is to restrict your easy, instant access to your remaining savings. Who could look after that for you? Where could you put it where you can’t access it quite so quickly if/when you have an urge?
Well done on self exlcuding from some sites. Now exclude from any otehrs you use. You can also get a blocker for your PC that will stop you visiting all gambling sites, then you can’t find a new one.
Keep posting and let us know what positive steps you are taking.

Fraz my friend very well done on sharing and really happy you have dug deep and found the courage to share how you are feeling………….ahhh that double or nothing bet……yes I know exactly what you mean I have made that bet over 1000 times……the problem with me being a compulsive gambler is I cant stop gambling……….if I make that first bet again it sets me off on a rollercoaster that I just cant stop.
I am 39 years old and have lost well over a quarter of a million pound gamblng (in all honesty I dont know the exact figure and thats probably just as well) I dont share this to brag I promise I dont I share it to explain that if we dont stop that this only gets worse, bigger and deeper and it only ends in destroyed lives!!!!
I am just about holding on to my family (thats a miracle in itself) I rent my house, rent my car, live hand to mouth and work my socks off………been declared bancrupt and dont have a penny piece saved…………..I have always had very good jobs and been very well paid and that is the only thing that has kept me out of prision……..all because of my addiction to compulsive gambling.
There is still hope for you my friend and that I can promise you, I cant tell you to stop but I can share with you what happens if we dont and that ai have.
I wish you well and hope you can get your life back on track and enjoy the happiness you so deserve, take care and keep sharing.
Maverick
