Hi, i used to be a huge 300lb bodybuilder. With money it came the gambling. The money i used for steroids i start to gamble. I would spend all my nights in casino watching the roulette and hoping it would be my number. I lost everything in less than a year.
Nowadays i dont have money for steroids, i weight around 170lbs and i lost my career as a professional ifbb pro.
I lost my motivation from gym, i cant even afford a TRT ( testosterone replacement therapy ). My life is a mess.
My recomendation for you is to not enter a casino, NEVER EVER!

Hello Rich and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums
Here at Gambling Therapy we pride ourselves on being a caring and diverse online community who can help and support you with the difficulties you’re currently facing. We understand that this might be a tough time for you, particularly if you’re new to recovery, so come here as often as you need to and participate in the forums, access online groups and connect to the live advice helpline if you need one to one support. We’re in this together!
Here on the forum you can share your experiences in a safe, supportive and accepting environment. The beauty of writing it all down is that you can take your time and you will be creating a record of your progress that you can look back on if it ever feels like you’re not moving forward. So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.
As well as the forums New Members are invited to join Charles in the New Members Practical Advice Group On Mondays at 21:00 (UK) and Thursday at 19:00(UK)
And on that note….
I’m going to hand you over to our community because I’m sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂
Take care
The Gambling Therapy Team

PS: Let me just remind you to take a look at our privacy policy and terms and conditions so you know how it all works!

Hi Richpiana123,
“you are not alone”.
I started at this site, with total despair, with total loss of family and friends, with loss of everything including houses, cars and a well paid job… this is what gambling addicts do…. you are not alone…if you want to change and I mean really want to change your life around, then you should try the GMA residential programme. They know what they are doing and they know how to help to change your life around…. coming here is a good start and is a good place to talk to fellow CG’s but if you really want to make a difference to your life you need to make a decision that will change it forever – go and really learn how to become gamble free – I did and it works if you want it too….
join the forums – they are great too…
you are not alone and you can make it happen..
hope to see you in a forum… you have taken a positive step, keep going …

Paul is right, you aren’t alone.
Theres things you can do to help, and in time the urges will decrease in strength.
Ban…..from casinos, online, whatever you need to. Make it hard for yourself to gamble.
Can you talk to someone about it? Someone who may take control of your finances for a while, so that you can have space to breathe and no money = no gambling.
Use this site, the forum, the helpline and the groups. There are people from all stages of recovery, who can give you some ideas that you may not have thought of.
You are the only one who can stop this and start to live again, but there is tons of support, if you want it.
I wish you well,
Love K xxx
