Hi,
let me introduce first, my name is Mark from philippines and im happy to be here. Pls bear with me if you find some grammatical error, im not really good in english.
To start.. Ive been gambling since 2007, It all started out when I found a new work. That time the only thing that was wasting my money is in addiction to mountain biking. Since mt biking is my hobby, ive used my bike to go to work.. for about 40km back in fort. Until Ive decided to get an apartment because 40km biking everyday is not that good to me.
Ive rented an apartment with my co-workers, we are sharing in that apartment. everyday after office my officemates plays card in the apartment. that time i have no idea how to play cards (poker).. they are playing simple amount for pastime.
until one day, there are 1 available slot.. they forced me to play and I said I really dont know how to play poker and I dont have money to play with. they said just simple amount will do.. So ive decided to play for once. they teach me the basic, but even though they are teach i really dont know what im doing, until ive double and tripled and every bet I won im fascinated my money grows without knowing how the card plays.
so everynight we play until I get to know how the poker plays.. I won serveral times, some lost.. then I decided what if I play to the real casino card room. 1st week is always a payday, so im in to it playing poker is a easy money.. until one day I lost half of my winnings, im thinking I think this is a variance.. then I came back and I won.. after couple of month I had a win and lost day… and one day, my earning lost in one single night.. so I came back and lost my whole salary.. Ive decided to get a loan just to play poker.. ive loan $500.. I play half of it in one night.. but I lost.. then I tried to play the other $250.. and eventually lost.. I decided to get a break.. for 6 months.
6 months getting away from poker is not easy, it’s often check the card room once aweek.. 2 years have been passed, in that time I often play once in a while, everytime I played I loss.. I don’t win anymore.. I played my single cents but I loss.. I also played and tried online poker I lost.
I decided to quit my job to find new place to work to get a new life.. to stay away from poker. I work 12 hours a day, I focused on work.. work.. work.. until I found out that there is a 15 minutes walking distance poker room from my work place… I check the area to see the ambience, good place free food, free drinks to the player. I played once and I won a little penny, so the history repeat itself.. Im on a gambling again.. and would you believe another poker room opens near my place last week..
I would like to seek help not to gamble again.. I started to banned my account to the online poker room that give me relief, and they give help so that’s why Im ended here.. they give me link to seek help from here.. please please somebody give me advice to totally quit this gambling life, I want to start a new life..
