      All,

I turned here for help a few years back, and then set up a blog to document my thoughts. Whilst I’ve kept in contact with some people on here via e-mail, my blog sadly sat idle. However, I noticed that when I was doing my blog I was much less likely to relapse – I guess when you’re thinking positively about things rather than focussing on all the negatives? The bills, missed payments etc.

So, I’ve decided to start it up again (http://www.agamblersjourney.weebly.com). Appreciate your thoughts on the blogs, or if anyone has a similar train of thought – i.e. being busy and thinking positively, however we each do that – is the best way to distract from gambling and possible get over it in the long run?

Hope all’s well and there are some success stories out there!!

      Kind regards,

      AGJ

      Hi AGJ,

      Well done on trying again.

I think I said to you last time that you might be better off at least copying and pasting yoru blogs here. Looking at your blog it seems you only got a few responses there last time? Here you can get feedback and support from many other compulsive gamblers. You can also of course learn a lot from reading the other stories here as well.

      Strength in numbers.

      Hi there AGJ,
I popped over and read your last submission on your blog – it reads great but to echo what Charles has said – I think you should write it here – people will reply here because of the anonomous nature of this site .
Yes you can come back from where you are at – I had completely forgotten about the debt letters and phone calls and I am not gamble free all that long . Life gets better very fast . Throw your all at it – use gambling blocking software like betfilter or gamcare on all your devices – next Christmas could be so different .
If you can just let go of what’s gone – u will soon find yourself back to where you were- keep writing – u can beat this- many of us already have .
