      Hello everyone.
The title of my thread has two meanings for me.  Firstly, not gambling (without all the attendant destruction gambling brings) is a wonderful place.  The second meaning is that this site is a wonderful place.
I have been reading posts for many months now, and so many of you here have no idea how your words of advice have already helped me.
The love and support I see on here has had me in tears a few times.  If only the ‘real’ world contained more of the sentiment I see on here!
Now i’ve emerged from the shadows(!), I feel I should say a bit about myself.
I’ve struggled with online gambling for about 8 years.  In the first 6 years I racked up about 90% of my total losses.  So the last 2 years I’ve had ‘successes’ controlling it.  When I say controlling it, I mean abstaining, as I know none of us can actually control it.
Yesterday, I installed Betfilter, which gives me great peace of mind/barrier.  My savings are all tied up in savings bonds, so I’ve limited all access to my money.  Yes, reading on here has taught me about barriers!
So that’s a bit about me.  I hope I fit in here and can add as well as benefit from all the wisdom and generosity of spirit in this community.
I hope to stay in both wonderful places that I mentioned at the start of my post!
Best wishes to everyone with your own journey.
