hi i am colin i come from newcastle upon tyne and i have been a commpulsive gambler for about 15 years.i started off when i wass about 10 going down to sea front arcades playing fruit machines  for fun . By the time i was about 14 i was well and trully hooked the local arcade where i lived started alowwing me and my friends to gamble there and it soon become to place i would spend all my time at . when i was about 15 i started stealing from my family to allow me to continue gambling although i felt real bad about it i would always convince myself that the goods i took i would replace when i won this never happened. then ialong came roullette in bookmakers and that was it for me i was ruined some how during all this i met a girl and had three children with her but still i continued lying to her and stealing and eventually she had had enough and we split . through out all of my gambling my mother would always bail me out with money untill this time last year she finnaly said no and then i hit rock bottom. I ended up homeless living in a shed and one night it all became to much i decided that i would try once more to stop and if it didnt work then i would end it all . i went on to agamcare website and asked if they new of any rehabs where i could go that were free and they put me in touch with gordon house . it is the best decision i have ever made i have been here since the 9th of november last year and although i have had i slip i believe i have learened enough from here to be able to live a happy gambling free life and for that i owe them the greates gratitude ever .
