It’s a long time since you posted and I can understand that.
Having your daughter and grandson living with you must be a big upheaval plus the added concern about Jen’s health.
Our children will always be our children, no matter what age they are. Grandchildren bring great joy but also great worry. I am projecting here and basing my comment on the experience of friends who have grandchildren in “irregular situations”. I have yet to come across a family who is not dysfunctional.
Add gambling to the mix and everything goes up in flames.
