I appreciate that you have been trying for 7 years to get your partner to agree to really do something about his addiction but what is he doing?
Has he gone back to square one really or is he replying to the email asking why he was not accepted at this time and what could he do to make a difference? Has he spoken to our Helpline where he will be understood and supported?
I don’t know the reason he was not accepted at this time but I hear hope in their words that he re-apply in March.
Your partner must take on his own battle and in the meantime, as I have said before, look after yourself because that is the best thing you can do for him and your family. Protect your finances, perhaps write to Hope who messaged you, pop into the F&F group, set your barriers of what you will and will not accept and please keep posting.
