Never leave the group!
I have witness many people returning to the gambling support groups in Singapore over the last 12 months saying the same thing,
“Don’t leave the group!”
Every single one of them have multiple years of gamble free time. 2yrs, 4yrs, 8yrs and 10yrs gamble free time under their belt and they relapse. it was real painful to watch someone I know relapsed.
Man is fallible. No one is perfect. Their sharing really humbled me.
I am no better than another person. I am no stronger than another person.
I can have my weak and vulnerable moments like everyone.
My strength is limited and can help me to stop,
but I need a Higher Power who can provide me unlimited and lasting strength to stay stop.
I need to connect to God and people to stay safe and protected.
Otherwise, it is jail, institution, broken family, homelessness, lost saving, lost job and lost income for me.
Spiritually, Mentally, Emotionally, Financially and Physically Bankrupt!
