THE POWER OF MY MUSIC

I woke up this morning and began to think
Into depression I was beginning to sink
I felt I needed to play a musical tune
A quiet melodic one that would fill my room.

Playing my music helped me to settle a lot
All my thoughts and feelings I soon forgot
Within the notes my feelings were able to hide
My feelings no longer bothered me at all inside.

My feelings I didn’t have to verbally say
I expressed them in music – in an easy way
Playing my music helped my mood to lift
I’m thankful to God for this beautiful gift.
